W.I.P. Wednesdays

I know, for knitters/crocheters/spinners and all other fiber arts crafters.

Wednesdays are to show works in progress.

This thing has been in progress for so long, and even though it was

finished on a Tuesday, I’m considering it a WIP.

Mostly for all the Wednesdays it wasn’t

shown.

I tried to follow directions for a beautiful cow. I simply couldn’t do it.
The third time I ripped out the stitches I decided  to have some fun.
On size 8 needles I cast on 78 stitches of Loops & Threads,
Impeccable worsted weight yarn.
Knit one row, Purl the next, ..And I scattered the cable stitch all
through the cowl.  At 29 inches bind off.  I could have done it at
26 inches, but this IS a thick cowl, your neck needs it a little lose.
Then sewed the ends together.
I like this yarn. I don’t think I’ve worked with it before. I think it’s
a little softer than Vanna White’s Worsted Weight yarns. Not by
a lot but I did notice that.   It’s an acrylic. In this case I used
1 and a half skeins. 268 yd. in a skein.

The color is Blush. And for the life of me I couldn’t get the right
shade on my camera. In the olden days I think we’d call it
coral.
I even took it out and snapped a picture of it in the snow.
Yes we still have snow!
